Coach Records
- Coach records do not include mini-playoffs or tiebreakers. Only full game results are counted. For games where the head coach was suspended or otherwise absent, results have been assigned to the assistant who filled in, provided that information was reported.
Forfeits
- All forfeits are recorded as 1–0 results. The point is not added to either team's PF or PA against season totals.
Overtime
- The Washington Interscholastic Activities Association (WIAA) approved the use of overtime with the start of statewide football playoffs in 1973. Under the official Kansas tiebreaker format, both teams received four downs to score from the 10-yard line.
Polls
- Prior to the start of statewide football playoffs in 1973, polls were used to determine the “mythical” state champions. The Associated Press conducted its first poll in 1947 and United Press International followed in 1960.
